The City Welcomes Sydney's Sweet Treats to the Boardwalk
Mayor Wdowiasz and the Dunkirk Chamber of Commerce are delighted to congratulate Sydney Bigelow, owner of Sydney’s Sweet Treats located at 2 Central Ave. at the Boardwalk Marketplace in the City of Dunkirk. An official ribbon cutting was held on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, at 4 PM to announce the new tasty, woman owned business in the City of Dunkirk. Other local official representatives attended the event, including County Legislator Marcus Buchanan, Christine McAllister on behalf of Congressman Nick Langworthy and James Feldman on behalf of Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel.
Sydney Bigelow’s business started small but has now grown to fill her new sugary retail spot at the Dunkirk Boardwalk, and still her business success continues to grow. On her soft opening alone, the doors couldn’t stay open for the full intended hours as all the delicious treats sold out! Upon entering her retail store your senses will be pleasantly met with a dreamy warm pastry aroma of fresh baked goodies. Don’t let the store size full you, as this little bakery packs a big punch! With the help of staff, and the support of her family, Sydney has created a savory paradise spot within the city that provides unique pastries and catering. Currently the shop is only open on Sunday mornings at 9AM, but as the weather breaks, hours will shift to being open daily.
